1. Who We Are
This testing database is operated by GridLab for use by sim racing communities. It is a community tool provided to help teams organise and analyse their testing data.
2. What Data We Collect
- Account details: Username, display name, and a hashed password (we cannot see your actual password).
- Testing data: Lap times, fuel figures, tyre data, confidence ratings, and notes you choose to log.
- Session data: A standard PHP session cookie to keep you logged in. This is deleted when you log out or close your browser.
- Preferences: Your chosen display units (PS/BHP, kg/lbs, kgfm/lb·ft) and theme preference (stored in your browser).
3. What We Don’t Collect
- No email addresses or personal contact information.
- No tracking cookies, analytics, or third-party scripts.
- No IP address logging beyond standard server access logs.
- No data is shared with or sold to any third party.
4. How Data Is Stored
- All data is stored on a private server hosted in the United Kingdom.
- Each team has its own isolated database — teams cannot see each other’s data.
- Passwords are stored using industry-standard bcrypt hashing.
- The server uses HTTPS encryption for all connections.
5. Data Retention
Your data is kept for as long as the GridLab platform remains active. If you wish to have your account or test data removed, contact your team administrator.
6. Your Rights
- You can change your password at any time via the Settings page.
- You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting an administrator.
- You can view all data stored against your account through the application itself.
7. Changes
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any changes.
